Cypress Semiconductor announced it will demonstrate multiple products and will introduce a new PSoC programmable system-on-chip targeted for the Internet of Things at the electronica international trade show (Hall A5, Stand 520).

Cypress will showcase demonstrations of its PSoC and capacitive touch-sensing solutions, USB 3.0 controllers, automotive solutions and memory products. Designers and interested parties can register to win a development kit and learn more about Cypress solutions at electronica.

The demonstrations will include:
•    PSoC, which integrates configurable analog and digital peripheral functions, memory and a microcontroller on a single chip.
•    TrueTouch touchscreen solutions and CapSense capacitive touch-sensing controllers for sleek, intuitive user interfaces
•    USB and wireless connectivity solutions, including the $49 SuperSpeed Explorer Kit based on the programmable EZ-USB FX3 USB 3.0 peripheral controller, and USB 3.0 solutions for digital imaging, video capture, and 3-D motion sensing.
•    Automotive solutions for use in infotainment, body electronics and under the hood applications.
•    The industry’s leading portfolio of SRAMs and nonvolatile SRAMs and F-RAMs memories, targeting automotive, military, aerospace, medical, and industrial applications.

PSoC solutions bring the flash-based equivalent of a field-programmable ASIC to embedded designs without lead-time or NRE penalties. PSoC integrates configurable analog and digital circuits with an on-chip microcontroller, reducing component count and simplifying revisions. A single PSoC device can integrate as many as 100 peripheral functions, accelerating cycle time and improving quality while reducing board space, power consumption, and system cost.

PSoC “future-proofs” designs, protecting them against last-minute specifications changes. It enables firmware-based changes at any point in the design cycle-even out in the field.
