Questi dispositivi sono ideali nelle architetture di potenza ridondanti utilizzate nei moderni sistemi ad alta disponibilità come server, supercomputer e infrastrutture di telecomunicazione.

I Cool-ORing PI2121/3/5 sono soluzioni ORing attive full-function complete che integrano il controller insieme a un mosfet a bassa resistenza di conduzione. Possono soddisfare un’ampia varietà di applicazioni bus ridondanti garantendo una dissipazione di potenza molto bassa pur raggiungendo una risposta dinamica molto veloce, tipicamente entro 160 ns. La PI2121 è una soluzione da 8 V e 24 A adatta alle applicazioni bus da 5 V, la PI2123 da 15 V e 15 A è adatta ai bus da 9,6 V e la PI2125 da 30 V e 12 A è adatta ai bus da 12 V. Queste soluzioni sono offerte in package LGA da 5 x 7 mm molto piccoli, termicamente avanzati e capaci di mantenere valori massimi di corrente in una vasta gamma di temperature di esercizio.

Il Cool-ORing PI2122 è una soluzione attiva ORing completa con funzionalità di interruttore di circuito. Il PI2122 è una soluzione da 7 V e 12 A che integra un mosfet back-to-back con resistenza di conduzione di 6 mΩ e fornisce una risposta dinamica molto rapida alle condizioni errate sia nell’alimentazione sia sul carico, tipicamente entro 170 ns (diretta) e 140 ns (inversa), agendo di fatto come un commutatore bidirezionale. Le soluzioni Cool-ORing possono ridurre significativamente la dissipazione di potenza termica di almeno dieci volte rispetto alle soluzioni convenzionali a diodo, pur garantendo risposte dinamiche di eccellenza.

These solutions address the requirements of redundant power architectures implemented in today’s high-availability systems such as servers, high-end computing and telecommunications infrastructure systems.
The Cool-ORing PI2121/3/5 are complete full-function Active ORing solutions with integrated high-speed controllers and very low on-state resistance mosfet. They address a variety of redundant bus applications, providing very low power dissipation while achieving very fast dynamic response, typically within 160 ns. The PI2121 is an 8 V @ 24 A solution suitable for 5 V bus applications, the PI2123 is 15 V @ 15 A solution for 9,6 V bus and the PI2125 is 30 V @12 A solution for 12 V bus. These solutions are offered in extremely small, high density, thermally enhanced 5×7 mm LGA packages, maintaining full rating ratings over a wide range of operating temperature.
The Cool-ORing PI2122 is a full-function Active ORing solution with a circuit breaker feature. The PI2122 is a 7 V @ 12 A solution with integrated back-to-back mosfet with an effective 6 mΩ typical on-state resistance. It provides very fast dynamic response to both input power source and output load fault conditions, typically within 140 ns (reverse) and 170 ns (forward) respectively, acting as a true bidirectional switch. The Cool-ORing solutions can substantially reduce power dissipation by up to ten times versus conventional diode ORing solutions, while maintaining benchmark dynamic response.
