Nizza (Francia) CDN Live è una serie di conferenze tecniche organizzate da Cadence Design Systems con l’obbiettivo di riunire utilizzatori e partner della società per fornire loro l’opportunità di conoscere le più recenti metodologie e sviluppare nuove strategie per affrontare sfide di progettazione sempre più complesse. L’edizione europea, si è tenuta a Nizza, dal 25 al 25 giugno scorsi.

Durante l’evento Cadence ha annunciato alcune novità di sicuro rilievo, come ad esempio la disponibilità del primo insieme completo di prodotti e funzionalità Eda che permette di semplificare lo sviluppo di SiP (System in Package). “La nostra soluzione – ha detto Vishal S. Kapoor, group director di Cadence – permette di superare il tradizionale approccio alla progettazione dei SiP mettendo a disposizione un processo ripetibile, integrato e affidabile in grado di soddisfare le esigenze dei costruttori di prodotti consumer e wireless”. I nuovi prodotti proposti comprendono Cadence Radio Frequency (RF) SiP Methodology Kit, due prodotti RF SiP, Cadence SiP RF Architect e Cadence SiP RF Layout, oltre a tre nuovi prodotti Digital SiP, Cadence SiP Digital Architect, Cadence SiP Digital SI, e Cadence SiP Digital Layout.

Un altro prodotto degno di nota è il Cadence Functional Verification kit per la tecnologia ARM, che mette a disposizione una soluzione a basso rischio per la “verification closure” nella fase di verifica di progetti basati su processori ARM. Il kit in questione copre l’intero processo di verifica, dalla verifica architetturale alla validazione del progetto, all’interno della metodologia Incisive Plan-to-Closure di Cadence. “Arm e Cadence – ha sostenuto mike Inglis, executive vice president del marketing per Cadence – sono attivamente impegnate nello sviluppo di soluzioni in grado di fornire un cospicuo valore aggiunto ai rispettivi clienti. La disponibilità di questo nuovo kit è una chiara dimostrazione del nostro impegno finalizzato all’accelerazione della verification closure durante lo sviluppo di progetti avanzati basati su processori ARM”. CDNLive!is an opportunity for cadence’s customers to learn fresh approaches and develop innovative strategies and tactics in order to meet their design challenges. The European edition of the Cadence Designer Network, has been held from 25 to 27 June, in Nice, France. During this event Cadence has unveiled a lot of new and innovative products.
