LSI Logic ha annunciato lo scorso 2 aprile di aver completato la fusione con Agere Systems. La nuova società prenderà il nome di LSI Corporation. L’unione delle attività, delle risorse e delle competenze delle due società ha lo scopo di acquisire nuovi clienti, ampliare l’offerta e creare valore a quelli già esistenti e agli azionisti e, non ultimo, conquistare i mercati chiave in cui esse operano.

La nuova LSI detiene una solida posizione nei mercati dello storage, del networking e dell’elettronica di consumo; con un fatturato consolidato nel 2006 pari a 3,5 miliardi di dollari, opera in oltre 20 Paesi e possiede un portafoglio di oltre 10.000 brevetti.

Per il momento la struttura italiana rimarrà inalterata, con una sicura prospettiva di crescita e il mantenimento dell’elevatissimo livello di competenza che la caratterizza.

LSI Logic announced that it has completed its merger with Agere Systems last April 2. The new company has been named LSI Corporation. The companies combined scale and resources will allow the acquisition of new customers, the value creation for customers and shareholders e the win in their key markets.
The new LSI is uniquely positioned as a semiconductor and storage systems leader with an unparalleled innovation pipeline and a broad array of competitive, customer-valued products and solutions in large and growing markets. The two companies had combined revenue of $3.5 billion for 12 months ended December 31, 2006; LSI operates in more than 20 countries and owns a substantial patent portfolio consisting of more than 10,000 issued and pending U.S. patents.
The Italian team will actually remain the same with the perspective to grow in the near future and maintain its very high level of proficiency.
