Portwell: COM Express module with Intel Kaby Lake-U processors

Portwell announced the release of a COM Express Type 6 Compact Module based on the 7th Generation Intel Core ultra-low power processor (codenamed Kaby Lake-U).

The Portwell PCOM-B644VG COM Express module supports DDR4 2133 MT/s SDRAM; one DisplayPort, one VGA, and one LVDS output; 4x USB 3.0, 4x USB 2.0; 2x SATA III; 5x PCIe x1, 1x PCIe x4 (PEG); 1x GbE; and wide voltage support from 6V to 18V. Specifically, the PCOM-B644VG COM Express module supports up to 32GB non-ECC DDR4 up to 2400MHz on two 288-pin SO-DIMM sockets.

Its expansion interface supports one PCI Express x4 Gen3 (8.0GT/s) in PEG for enhanced video performance, 1,6 times faster than the previous Gen2 (5.0GT/s), and five PCI Express x1 Gen3 (8.0 GT/s). Furthermore, PCOM-B644VG supports three independent displays, DP (DisplayPort), VGA and eDP.

Running with an ultra-low TDP CPU (15 watts), the PCOM-B644VG can deliver performance with energy efficiency in various environments.

PCOM-B644VG is a solution for automation systems, retail systems, network systems and IoT.
