EONEWS: What are your opinions regarding the major trends for this market (slowing, growing, booming…)?

SCARPA: Overall we see the market growing, with faster pace in the Infrastructure, Consumer and Industrial market. We also see the Power Management market is moving towards high integration, high efficiency and high power density.

EONEWS: What are the key strategies adopted by your company in the short/medium period to address (or to better address) the needs of the market?

SCARPA: Intersil is focused on key competency area such as Digital Power, Integration, High-Efficiency.

EONEWS: What are you doing in order to implement your strategies (partnership/agreements, new acquisitions, investments in activities like R&D, people….)?

SCARPA: Unfortunately we cannot comment on this, we are restricted to talk about this kind of subjects to medias.

EONEWS: What are the most important application?

SCARPA: Industrial, Instrumentation, Space/Military, Automotive, Video, Consumer, Embedded Computing.

EONEWS: Which are the key factors that set your company apart from the competition?

SCARPA: Technology Leadership and unique product portfolio for the above markets/applications..

EONEWS: And in the middle/long term (if you have a crystal ball!)?

SCARPA: We still see Technology Leadership as the Key factor, that’s also the reason of our focus on R&D.
