EONEWS: Do you have any feeling on the trend of the electronics market, from a distribution point of view (distribution market of products, solutions and services), in 2015?

EVENO: In a difficult economical environment, we must say that TDK Lambda Italy is hardly working with their partners to fit the demand of the end users. Thanks to very good skilled people, our distributors are focusing more and more a specific technical requests for the industrial, military and medical applications. These actions started to improve our market share this year in Italy with an increase of 10% in their sales compared with the previous year. We do not see why 2015 shoud change in this trend. Italy is still in the TOP countries in Europe in industry, and it should last.

EONEWS: What challenge could be the hardest and critical to face for the next year?

EVENO: The future of our industries in Europe is closely linked to our competitivity facing to the Asean and American competitors. It is why people need to think the competitivity in long term (reliability) vs in short term (cost). The management and the competitivity in power supply is to find the right balance between high efficiency (energy saving), reliability (long term use) and cost. TDK Lambda acting for more than 50 years in the market is always taking care of that to allow his customers to beat their competitior with reliable, low comsumption and profitable systems.

EONEWS: In the last 18 months, have you been seeing any important evolution in your approach on the market?

EVENO: More and more customers are coming back to our direct sales channel or to our official distributors because they are feeling they can have a very good technical and sales supports. We are working always very close to our end-users to understand their applications and their needs and be sure that our products will bring them the necessary competitivity that they need to win markets. Thus, we saw an increase of the satisfaction of our customers where 98% estimate that the quality of our products and services are better than our competitors. So for us that means that we are on the right way to address the market.

EONEWS: Which markets do you consider more interesting or with the major opportunities?

EVENO: TDK-Lambda is well known for the reliability and the high efficiency of its product, it is why we mainly focused our work on industrial, military and medical markets where the needs are most of the time specifics and where customers need to be helped for designing their systems. Also because as soon as a machine is failing in these markets, the cost of “stop of manufacturing” (for industry) or “stop or working” (for medical and military) could be very high. It is why reliable power supplies are so highly mandatory.

EONEWS: Which product lines are the most interesting and reveal the biggest opportunities?

EVENO: As far as we can see, we identified at list 2 lines of products which should be a success in the market for the future: the DIN Rail power supplies (DRB & DRF range) which allow the customers to get slim “plug & play” power supply, and the 2’x4′ power supplies (ZMS range) which are suitable for industrial and medical application. Both ranges have high efficiency which will allow the customers to save energy in their application and to reach the Erp compliance and Green Label.
